FAQs

I have a 12 year old. Is this workshop for parents of preteens?

Yes, absolutely. Parents of preteens will greatly benefit from this workshop.

All the skills covered will help you feel more prepared and informed and you can ask loads of questions on the day. We would love to have you.

I would know if my teen had alcohol taken but I wouldn’t have a clue about drugs and wouldn’t know if my teen had taken drugs. Will this workshop make things clearer for me?

Yes! There will be a part of the workshop that we will be telling you all about what drugs are out there and their side effects are so you will be super clear on what available and the signs of drug taking.

I struggle to know how much freedom to give my teen. I’m afraid I am giving too much or not enough. Will this workshop help?

Of course! We will help you to become more comfortable with giving your teen more freedom. Plus we will discuss how you can put boundaries in place so you trust you are making the right decisions.

Help I can’t talk to my teenager. We always end up arguing, I’m at my wits end. Can you help?

On the workshop we will talk about good communication skills and how you can improve how you communicate with your teen so Yes we can help!

I want to talk to my teen about alcohol and drugs but don’t know where to start?

Talking to your teen about alcohol and drugs is really important and it’s never too late to start. On the workshop we will give you some brilliant tips on how you can have those alcohol and drugs conversations with your teen. It doesn’t have to be an ‘official conversation’ where you end up preaching to your child, isn’t that a relief!

I am struggling to understand and cope with the changes in my teen’s behaviour. It seems he/she goes against everything I say. What can I do?

It’s normal for your teen to want to do their own thing and be more independent. They are asserting their own identity. On the workshop we will help you understand why your teen’s behaviour is changing and what you can do to manage it better.
