Clinical Supervision

"The purpose or goal of supervision is the creation of a good relational space by the supervisor and supervisee
where the focus is on creative, joyous, collaborative learning and personal / professional growth which allows support and monitoring of the supervisees work for the welfare and safety of the client."

Annie Sampson.

I have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision and Reflective Practice with Annie Sampson and now provide clinical supervision in Kerry and online nationwide. At the core of my philosophy of supervision is the principal belief that supervision should be supportive, collaborative and enrich the supervisee's professional development. I regard supervision as an alliance between the supervisor and supervisee that is based on trust, respect and openness. This mutual approach nurtures a sense of shared responsibility for the supervisee's development and progression as a therapist. As a clinical supervisor, I am guided by the principles of lifelong collaborative learning, ethical competence and reflective practice. By fostering an enriching and supportive supervisory relationship with my supervisees I aim to empower them to become skilled, ethical, and compassionate therapists in order to enhance the quality of support they provide to their clients.
